DaVinci Panels now Shipping - First User Stories Available

Our customers are now receiving the long awaited DaVinci Control Panels. Some of them have already completed several projects on Resolve 7. Stefan King in Berlin is already working on his third project on DaVinci, which is a TV series with German actor Christian Ulmen and director Max Luz. King grades one sequel each day on a fully loaded Mac with an Ultra Scope. Freelancer Colorist Randy Coonfield just submitted the following report about his work on the Telecine mailing list:

Succesful IBC with many new Products

The organizers of IBC reported a strong year, with attendance of 48.164 visitors, up from 45.547 last year. RED Digital Cinema did not have a booth this year, but Ted Schilowitz was there, showing a new prototype of EPIC. ARRI reported that 200 Alexas had already been sold (and shipped) and Roland Emmerich shot his first feature film 'Anonymous' entirely on Alexa. On the software side, DaVinci Resolve for Mac is finally reported to be shipping.
