Digital Rapids Powers Exclusive Live Coverage of World Cup Soccer Qualifier in UK
Technology from Digital Rapids played a key role in a groundbreaking event in soccer broadcasting. The World Cup Qualifier between England and Ukraine in October became the United Kingdom's first-ever competitive international match available for live viewing exclusively on the Internet, with no television coverage. Online streaming of the event was provided by digital sport and entertainment specialist Perform, utilizing Digital Rapids' StreamZ encoding systems and the Digital Rapids Broadcast Manager software.
